WHO WE ARE
The Pet Professionals
Dr. Kelli Weaver graduated from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and following that she pursued a rotating internship in small animal medicine at Georgia Veterinary Specialist (GVS) in Atlanta Georgia. From there she became the director of emergency medicine for 1 yr at GVS before then pursuing a residency in small animal medicine at Tufts University in Boston MA. During her residency she won research awards in diabetes mellitus and has a particular interest in endocrine and autoimmune diseases. Following her residency she was seeking warmer weather and started as an internal medicine specialist at Tampa Bay Veterinary Specialist in Largo Fl where she practiced for 17yrs before changing over to Clearwater Animal Referral and Emergency for about 2 yrs. After this she opened her own mobile internal medicine business Gulfstream Veterinary Specialty Services in hopes to be able to reach more people, make the referral process less stressful for clients and patients and to help better serve the referral communities needs. Dr. Weaver is currently a board member for the Humane Society of Pinellas County and is active in trying to help pets of the homeless.
